Philosophy of Eternal Now Yoga
Rooted in Breath
When we quiet our minds, our soul speaks. At Eternal Now Yoga, we use intentional breathing to Quiet the Mind. The breath guides our movement, grounds us in the present moment, and is our anchor when our minds drift. Quieting the mind is not about stopping all thoughts, but allowing them to pass through us without getting caught in them. We do this by patiently returning again and again (and again) to our breath. In this space of concentrated awareness, peace is available to us.
“The quality of your mind determines the quality of your life.” — Sam Harris
Committed to Healing
Healing begins by practicing compassion towards ourselves and others. Each Eternal Now Yoga practice is a space to soften, let go, and Open the Heart to the truths that lie beneath our old stories. Together in community, we create a space where we can meet ourselves gently and without judgement. These are conditions for true transformation. Here, healing is not about fixing, but about remembering our wholeness and allowing the heart to guide us back to who we truly are.
A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day. A string of such moments can change the course of your life — Christopher Germer
Inspired by Nature
Nature is the great reminder that everything moves in cycles: growth, release, death, and rebirth. In its rhythms, we learn that all things change, that nothing is separate or permanent, and that the present is the only moment that truly exists. Because Eternal Now Yoga practices are often held in nature, we can meditate on these truths more fully and let them guide us to Feel the Now with honesty, courage, and presence.
“The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth in the present moment, to appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now.” — Thích Nhất Hạnh
